 MEMBERSHIP RULES AND GUIDLINES

  • Each member shall pay an annual membership fee of $250.  New members are not eligible to grandfather in your spouse or immediate family member until the 2020 season.

  • Members who wish to accumulate points on both ends will be required to pay two memberships.

  • Members must own a business or agri-business, be a professional, or be the decision-maker for the business or profession in which they work.

  • Triad classification numbers will be used. No roper with a number higher than a 5+ will be allowed to join. Your number is the number you are rated at the time of each roping. You must be 25 years of age.

  • Every effort will be made to get the nicest facilities available, best climate situation, quality cattle, and professional producers. Roping’s may be rescheduled if weather does not cooperate. If a roping must be canceled or rescheduled for any reason at the last moment, we will call, text, or email each member no later than the night before the event. Please provide current email, phone/cell numbers for this purpose.

  • NMBTRA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any or all events at any time and to return full entry fee refunds to contestants.

  • Remember, it is your responsibility to stay current on information being sent out to members during the year. Making sure that we have a current mailing or email address throughout the year is the member’s responsibility.

  • Entry fees for 2019; Pick 1 Draw 5 or Draw all 6 for $300

 

Rules:

  • Unsportsmanlike behavior or abuse of animals will not be tolerated. Offenders will be asked to leave the premises and forfeit their entry fee.

  • Hot checks will not be tolerated. No excuses, no exceptions. If your check is returned for insufficient funds consider your membership terminated.

  • Heelers that rope tied on - must remove their horn knot from the saddle horn anytime they are not in the arena. This is for the safety of our children, spectators, fellow ropers, and their horses.

  • USTRC rules will be used.

  • The flagger will be officiating all decisions made in the arena. NMBTRA directors will not interfere with any decisions made by the flagger.

  • All members must have a current USTRC or WSTR card before entering our roping. If you place at one of our ropings and do not have a current USTRC or WSTR membership you will not receive any monies or prizes or points associated with that win.

  • All members must attend any 3 of the first 5 roping’s of the year to be eligible to rope at the finals and to be able to join again the next year.

All roping’s to be held at Southern NM Fairgrounds, Las Cruces, NM

Tentative dates for 2019 (Second Saturday of each month)

     January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11,

    June 8 Finals, November 9.
