Please read below as we have a new NMBTRA format for 2020.
 

After lengthy discussions and deliberation, the Board of Directors has made the decision that starting at our November 9 th roping NMBTRA will be a 9.5 handicapped event, capped at a 5E.
 

Below is an outline of our changes and new format for the 2020 season (Our 30 Year Anniversary!)

 

•  9.5 Handicapped roping w/ 7.5 Incentive. Capped at a 5 elite, min 25 yr old.

•  Incentive winners receive 2 points each.

•  Handicap as follows: 9.5 straight time, 9.0 -.5 sec, 8.5 -1.0 sec, 8.0 -1.5 sec, 7.5 - 2 sec, 7.0 - 2.5 seconds.

•  Payout: < 400 teams 10 places, 401-450 11 places, >450 12 places.

• Fastest on 2 in each rotation not making the short-go $250/roper plus points.

•  30th Anniversary Trailer drawing for those with perfect attendance.

• Smarty (or similar item) drawing for those with perfect attendance who have not placed all year.

• Attendance rules to remain the same. Members may pay their entry fee in lieu of an absence. Money will be added to the overall payout. This option does not constitute a perfect attendance. This option is for those who are trying to salvage making their 3/5 ropings.

There are no plans to change the cost of the entry fee’s or membership fees. Our prize line at the ropings will remain the same and the number of year end prizes will remain the same.
